Kids In Christ bless Rescue K911

August 7th, 2011
Kids In Christ Youth Group

What a blessing it was to have the Kids In Christ Youth Group come to Rescue K911.  What a wonderful group of young people who came to help homeless dogs.  Not only did they arrive with their arms filled with cleaning supplies and toys and treats for the dogs –  but they also donated $320.00 in funds they raised  from selling lemonade.  What a blesssing! We can’t thank them enough – what a blessing to Rescue K911.  Please meet Channing Glenn, Hannah Glenn, Blake Sanders, Anna, Hayden & Dillon Walters – Wonderful kids in Christ!

“Thank you each one! Thanks also to Mom Tia!!! We sure hope you come back soon!”

The Heart of Rescue K911 – Our Volunteers

July 31st, 2011
The volunteers of Rescue K911
Larry and I wanted to introduce you to our best friends today.

They are the ones behind the scenes that do so much for us and the rescued dogs in our care…. they are our volunteers.  A wonderful group of friends that share our vision and want to help the homeless.
Each one means the world to us.

Caring for over 100 dogs is a big task and takes a dedicated team, and as you can see, Rescue K911 has been blessed with such a team.
We couldn’t do this work without them.
Coming from all walks of life and professions – there is one thing that binds us together and that we all have in common -  and that is the love for the dogs.

We are so proud to introduce them – aren’t they beautiful!!!!

Painting Party at Shadow's Rest - June 25th

June has brought us pretty close to finishing up the exterior of Shadow’s Rest.  Now the work will mostly be on the inside from here on out.  In June we completed the  the exterior siding, painting and installation of front door. We had painting parties on the 4th & 25th which brought out an amazing group of friends wanting to help.  It has been so heartwarming! Groomers from Heaven!

June 19th, 2011
Lori grooming Renegade

It was such a wonderful day yesterday at Rescue K911!  We were  blessed to have two professional groomers, Lori Templeton & Jamie Phillips, come and donate their time and talents to help the rescued dogs in our care.

Lori & Jamie working their majic on Spot

Yes…the fur flew… as 10 lucky heavily coated dogs got summer cuts and some relief from the heat.  Special thanks to Lori & Jamie from Miss Beasley, Renegade, Deisel, Bernie, Moses, Aunt Jemima,   Booker T, Spot Leroy & Little Bear!

Thank you Patti for all your wonderful help today!

We’d also like to thank  Patti & Karen for assisting the groomers and all their wonderful help to the dogs yesterday.  It was such a blessing to the dogs! Thank you wonderful friends so much!

If you are needing grooming services, we would highly recommend these wonderful ladies.

Mamacita – HomeComing Day

June 17th, 2011

Mamacita with her new family

Mamacita came to us, a precious little pregnant girl abandoned along the roadside.

Mamacita was adopted yesterday by Kristin, Jeff & Caldwell. How wonderful it was to see her now cradled in the arms of a forever family all her own who have promised her a lifetime of love.  She will never be abandoned again. We have received word that Mamacita is doing well and has made herself at home. What a wonderful family, thank you!
